Our Climate Cool project builds networks of young school ambassadors supporting individual action as well as equipping the media with the tools they need to engage audiences in one of today's most important international issues. What is the job? Working as a member of the China region's senior management team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all of our different teams have a shared understanding of our audiences in the region, and helping them implement large-scale projects and products that engage and attract audiences, while delivering British Council objectives effectively. You'll act as a member of our global marketing and communications team bringing together our ten regions, sharing good practice and ensuring in China we develop a level of marketing expertise that matches our importance in the network. You'll directly lead our integrated communications team across the region, supporting our project and product teams, as well as developing effective long-term partnerships with the media. Who are you?You'll be a high calibre, mature and proven strategic thinker in marketing, but with a background of hands-on experience of marketing and communications. You'll know how to commission and interpret effective research, and how to link together diverse products and services under a single brand. You'll have the communication skills to sell your vision and the leadership skills to bring together different teams under a common understanding.
